Why offline?
In many markets the internet drops and the power goes. A shop cannot stop billing when that happens. Selling, printing, reports, backups and licence activation all work without internet. The shop's records stay on its own computer. Internet is needed once, at setup, to register the business.
Why one kind of shop at a time?
An oil change shop needs vehicle numbers, odometer readings and service reminders. A clothing shop needs sizes and colours; a mobile shop needs IMEI and warranty. RMS sets itself up for 12 kinds of shop: oil change, tyre shop, auto workshop, car wash, spare parts, bike shop, general store (grocery), departmental store, clothing, mobile & electronics, hardware and other retail.
What we promise
- We only state what the app really does. RMS is not a cloud service: there is no web login, mobile app or live sync between branches, and the app does not send SMS or WhatsApp messages.
- RMS prints tax invoices with your own tax name (VAT, GST or sales tax), rate and registration numbers, but it is not connected to any government e-invoicing or fiscal reporting system. Businesses that must report each sale to a tax authority in real time need a certified system.
- If the trial or a licence ends, RMS becomes read-only: the shop can still view, print, export and back up its records. Data is never locked away.
How was it tested?
A returning customer's oil change bill takes under 30 seconds using only the keyboard, and a 10-item barcode sale under 20 seconds (both checked by automated tests). With five years of data (200,000 bills), everyday screens answer in milliseconds and a 12-month profit and loss report in well under a second.
